The Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2026 Nominating Convention will be held in the City of Worcester at the DCU Center on Friday and Saturday, May 29th and 30th. Delegates will vote on which Democratic statewide candidates to put on the ballot, which candidates receive the party’s endorsement, and other party business.
If you missed Somerville’s March 1st caucus to elect delegates or were not elected—its not too late to apply to be an add-on delegate!
How to attend the Convention:
If you were elected as a delegate/alternate:
You are all set to attend! Just ensure you have submitted your delegate fee or waiver, and completed the questionnaire.
If you qualify to be an add-on delegate:
If you are disabled, a member of an Underrepresented Racial and Ethnic Group, a Veteran, Youth (16 to 35 years old), or LGBTQ+ you qualify to be an add-on delegate. Add-on applications are due to the state party by 5:00 PM on March 27
Run for At-Large or Ward 6 Superdelegate
City Party Chair Jack Perenick and Ward 6 Chair James Leo Bedard hold 2 superdelegate seats. Therefore special elections to elect 1 At-Large and 1 Ward 6 Superdelegate will be held at the March 18th SDCC meeting.
